Today was an emotional experience for me. Hearing all the stories from the Mother’s really affected me. I was hurt for them, mad at the healthcare providers and disappointed in the health care system as a whole but they taught me so much about courage. They showed how you can take severe pain and turn it around to effect change that touches the world. I am very greatful to them for the experience they gave me today and I pray and hope that I will never forget their stories and how they made me feel. I now have the responsibility to pass it on in my worklife, to my school colleagues, and everyone I know. One theme that stood out in the Lewis Blackman story was this Reflection: When can we get from a call for help being a sign of weakness but instead a call for patient safety. To sum up today’s lessons I would say I am Inspired.
