Pre Telluride experience

As a resident doctor in a community hospital in Brooklyn New York, there is a constant struggle between quantitative and qualitative health care. Due to the huge volume of patients seen on a daily basis, patient safety sometimes is sacrificed in the process of health care delivery. Most patients in the hospital come with certain expectations. These expectations include leaving the hospital in a better state of health than they arrived. My goal is to ensure that these expectations are met, and the patient leaves the hospital better and not worse than they arrived due to human error by care givers. The Telluride experience I believe would equip me with useful skills that would make my goal achievable.
