Reflection Roundtable day 2

A day dedicated to assertive communication, leadership and decision making.  Unfortunately, communication breakdowns are common in the everyday practice. Even though, (and thankfully) most of the times the consequences of these do not get to harm the patient directly, the costs in time and resources wasted,  as well as emotional and mental burden created affect the process of patient care and therefore the delivery of quality provision of care.

As emerging leaders it is our responsibility to take advantage of this opportunity to step up and bring to our work places change.  A culture transformation is needed in  health care, our practice needs to adapt to the times and more important to what patients need today. We saw today a huge example with our colleagues that have already had the chance to participate in CQI projects. Great day! Great people! And I feel lucky to be able to be part of this group!
