Welcome to Telluride

Telluride welcomes us with open skies and beautiful peaks, the perfect environment to catalyze the growth of ideas, mindfulness, and community already forming after the first day of patient safety camp.  Today was packed with information and emotion, but I think that is exactly what we needed as we begin our time dissecting what patient safety actually means. As an M1, I was so thankful to have faculty and other participants with actual clinical experience who can share stories of things in health care I have not yet experienced. While many stories are sobering and even frightening, I appreciate the environment that has been created here for us to openly discuss these events, learn from them, and collaborate to promote change. I look forward to delving into the topics ahead, processing them here in the midst of such beauty, and taking what I learn back home to share with the medical community there!
